01/09/12--12:22: S4C's Viewing Figures Showed an Increase in 2011 (chan 1777039)

S4C’s viewing figures showed an increase last year, according to figures released by the Channel.
 
Average weekly reach for S4C in Wales in 2011 showed a rise of 7,000 – up from 467,000 in 2010 to 474,000. Throughout the UK, the Channel’s average weekly reach showed an increase of 2,000 over the year – up from 616,000 in 2010 to 618,000 in 2011.
 
There was also a substantial increase in the number of Welsh speakers watching S4C in 2011. The average weekly reach during the year among Welsh speakers in Wales was 223,000 – 26,000 higher than in 2010.
